I offer a free, no-obligation 15-minute call so we can talk briefly about what you are looking for and whether we might be a good fit to work together. There is no pressure to book anything afterwards. - **Do you work in person or online?** Both. I offer face-to-face sessions in a calm, private setting, as well as sessions online by secure video — whichever feels more comfortable and practical for you. - **Do you work with couples as well as individuals?** Yes. I am qualified in both individual and couples therapy. With couples I use a systemic approach that looks at patterns of interaction within the relationship and how they are shaped by family, culture and life history. - **What is integrative counselling?** Being an integrative practitioner means I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches rather than one single model, tailoring the work to the unique needs of each individual or couple. Every person brings a unique story, and therapy should be tailored accordingly. - **What happens in a first session?** The first session is a gentle chance to get to know each other. There is no need to have the right words or a tidy explanation — we simply begin where you are, at a pace that feels comfortable, and start to build a trusting relationship. - **How many sessions will I need?** That varies from person to person and depends on what you would like from therapy. Some people come for a short, focused piece of work; others value longer-term support. We can talk about what feels right for you and review it together as we go. - **Is what I say confidential?** Yes. What you share is treated confidentially within a professional ethical framework. As a registered BACP member I work to recognised standards, including regular clinical supervision. I will always explain the small number of situations where confidentiality may need to be discussed, such as a serious risk of harm. - **How do I get started?** The easiest first step is to get in touch to arrange a free 15-minute call. You can use the enquiry form or call directly — there is no obligation, and it is completely fine to simply ask questions first. ## Optional - [Full site text for language models](https://viveastoncounselling.com/llms-full.txt) - [Sitemap](https://viveastoncounselling.com/sitemap.xml) - [AI usage policy](https://viveastoncounselling.com/ai.txt) - [LLM site map (XML)](https://viveastoncounselling.com/llm.xml)
